🌍 About StemCo

The StemCo Olympiad is an international STEM competition platform for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It offers Olympiads in Mathematics (MathematiCo), Science (ScienCo), Physics (PhysiCo), Chemistry (ChemiCo), and Biology (BioCo). The goal is to promote analytical thinking, creativity, and time management through accessible online competitions.

📅 Competition Schedule

• Held four times a year: spring, summer, fall, and winter sessions.

• Global Finals are held twice a year in Singapore:

  • Math Finals in winter.

  • Science Finals in summer.

• Only top-performing participants are invited to the Global Finals.

🏆 Competition Format

• Online Participation: Students compete from home using a desktop or laptop with stable internet. Some sessions require a webcam for proctoring.

• Time Frame: Each session is open over several days. Once started, students have up to 24 hours to finish (usually takes 2 hours).

• Question Format: 40 multiple-choice questions focusing on understanding concepts, not memorization.

• Assessment: Based on accuracy, speed, and analytical reasoning. Students receive a personalized report card and digital certificate.

🌐 Participation Details

• Global Reach: Over 10,000 students from more than 40 countries participate annually.

• Curriculum Base: Primarily aligned with the Singapore school system but adapted for international accessibility.

• No Special Training Needed: Open to all students, with or without prior Olympiad experience.

✨ Global Finals

• Eligibility: High performers from regular rounds are invited.

• Recent Example: In February 2025, 167 students from 13 countries joined the Science Global Finals. Math Finals are held in June.
